Jeju Air Provides Medical Volunteer Service in Vietnam with Open Medical Society
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jeju Air announced on the 15th that it conducted medical volunteer activities in Vietnam in collaboration with the Open Medical Society.
The volunteer activities took place over six days from the 9th to the 14th at Kanhoa Jeju Elementary School in Nha Trang, Vietnam. Kanhoa Jeju Elementary School was established in 2012 by the Kim Man-deok Memorial Foundation to provide learning opportunities for Vietnamese children.
The medical volunteer team consisted of 30 volunteers, including Jeju Air employees and medical staff from the Open Medical Society specializing in emergency medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, dentistry, and dermatology. They provided free medical consultations and prescriptions to local residents, as well as delivered accurate medical knowledge through basic health education.
A Jeju Air official stated, “We are conducting continuous medical volunteer activities by utilizing the resources the company possesses,” and added, “This is a sincere social contribution activity with significance in the voluntary participation of our employees.”

Jeju Air and the Open Medical Society have been conducting overseas medical volunteer activities for 12 years since signing a business agreement in 2011 to jointly promote medical volunteer work. The medical volunteer activities, held twice a year at Jeju Air’s destinations, were suspended due to COVID-19 but resumed last year with medical volunteer work in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do.
