Kibo and Jeju Technopark Join Hands for SME Technology Commercialization
Supporting Innovative Growth through Patent Technology Valuation and Technology Guarantee Linked Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter Kibo) announced that on the 15th, it signed a "Guarantee-Linked Patent Technology Valuation Support Program Business Agreement" with Jeju Technopark (Acting Director Ryu Seong-pil, hereinafter Jeju TP) at the Jeju TP conference room in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
This agreement was established to promote the commercialization of patented technologies by building a technology transaction promotion network between the two organizations and discovering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Jeju region that possess excellent patented technologies, thereby strengthening financial support.
According to the agreement, Jeju TP will recommend SMEs in the Jeju region with outstanding patented technologies to Kibo, and Kibo plans to support the innovative growth of these SMEs through comprehensive support such as patent technology valuation and customized guarantee support, while also providing non-financial services such as technology transfer and transactions.
Earlier, the two organizations conducted a technology transfer briefing session for participating SMEs at the "12th Jeju Industry Development Forum" hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province on the 14th, and discussed detailed implementation plans related to the business agreement.
