Samsung Electronics Holds 'Software Developer Conference 2022'
From the 15th to 16th, Samsung Electronics Seocho Building and Online

Samsung Electronics will hold the "Samsung Software Developer Conference 2022" for two days starting from the 15th at the Samsung Electronics Seocho Building. On the first day of the event, Han Jong-hee, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics, is delivering the opening address via video.

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Yeju] Samsung Electronics will hold the "Samsung Software Developer Conference 2022 (SSDC)" for two days starting from the 15th at the Samsung Electronics Seocho Building.
Since 2014, Samsung Electronics has emphasized the importance of software through this event, which will be operated in a hybrid format for the first time in three years, allowing participants to attend both on-site and online simultaneously. Notably, this year, about 4,000 people, the largest number in the event's history, are expected to participate.
Han Jonghee, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics, said in his opening remarks, "Based on software leadership, the foundation of technological innovation, we aim to create a world where amazing user experiences become everyday life," adding, "I hope SSDC will be a time for software developers to gain insights that will help their growth and future planning."
The first keynote speaker, Seung Hyunjoon, Head of Samsung Research, introduced Samsung Electronics' advanced research and development technologies.
This was followed by keynotes introducing major technologies embedded in Samsung Electronics products such as SmartThings, Bixby, and security, as well as a presentation on Samsung Electronics' software development culture.
On the second day, invited lecture professor Kim Sangwook from Kyung Hee University will share a physicist's perspective under the title "The Past, Present, and Future of Computing Machines."
