40s Man Arrested in the Act for Threatening Girlfriend with a Weapon During an Argument
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] A man in his 40s was arrested in the act for threatening his girlfriend with a weapon in a fit of anger during an argument.
On the 14th, Cheongju Cheongwon Police Station announced that they have detained Mr. A on charges of special intimidation and are investigating him.
Mr. A is accused of threatening his girlfriend, Ms. B, with a weapon from the kitchen during a quarrel at her home in Naedeok-dong, Cheongwon-gu, at around 2:55 PM that day.
Police who responded to Ms. B's report arrested Mr. A at the scene.
Mr. A reportedly stated to the police, "I only took out the weapon in a fit of anger during the argument."
