District Chief Lee Seongheon Cleans Fallen Leaves with Residents at Bukgajwa Elementary School Intersection in Bukgajwa-dong on the 15th at 7 AM
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 15th at 7 a.m., Lee Seongheon, the mayor of Seodaemun-gu, will join residents in cleaning fallen leaves around the intersection near Bukgajwa Elementary School in Bukgajwa-dong.
To prevent slip accidents, fallen leaves along the streets will be removed to ensure citizen safety. Unauthorized waste that damages the urban landscape will also be collected.
About 70 people, including residents, members of professional organizations, environmental officers, and public officials, will participate in this cleaning activity.
This fall, Seodaemun-gu has doubled the operation frequency of four vacuum street cleaning vehicles compared to last year to collect fallen leaves along the roads, and environmental officers are focusing on cleaning sidewalks to prevent safety accidents.
Additionally, they are actively managing household waste in back alleys and main roads to promote a pleasant residential environment in the area.
Previously, on the 18th of last month, Mayor Lee Seongheon also cleaned the area along Hongjecheon Stream with residents and conducted joint inspections of illegal cameras and emergency bells in public restrooms with civil, government, and police cooperation. He plans to participate in about 10 cleaning site duties by the end of this year.
