[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] Dae-shin ICT Co., Ltd., a social enterprise in Mokpo City (CEO Lee So-young), visited the Korea Maritime University in Mokpo (President Han Won-hee) on the 9th to present scholarships totaling 5 million won to five enrolled students and held a scholarship certificate awarding ceremony.
The awarding ceremony was attended by about 20 people, including Han Won-hee, President of Korea Maritime University in Mokpo, the Director of Planning, school officials, Lee So-young, CEO of Dae-shin ICT Co., Ltd., Choi Seong, CEO and a graduate of the 40th class in the Department of Communications at Mokpo Maritime University, and the five scholarship recipients. The event was held with the purpose of fostering outstanding maritime talents and promoting university development.
Lee So-young, CEO of Dae-shin ICT, said, “I hope this small support will encourage the academic achievement motivation of the students at Korea Maritime University in Mokpo,” and added, “As a social enterprise, we will continue to fulfill our role and support the cultivation of capable talents who will carry the future of Korean maritime.”
Han Won-hee, President of Korea Maritime University in Mokpo, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I deeply appreciate Dae-shin ICT for their generous and unwavering support every year for nurturing maritime talents and future scholars,” and shared his thoughts, “I hope the students who received the scholarships will realize their dreams and cherish this gratitude, becoming role models for alumni and the university.”
