[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) is accepting entries for the 2022 Muan Tourism Photo Contest until the 11th.
This contest, launched in January, aims to discover Muan's beautiful natural landscapes and distinctive tourist resources to utilize them for tourism marketing and county administration promotion.
The theme of the contest is fresh and attractive tourism photos that can promote Muan, including ecology, natural scenery, history, culture, and infrastructure. Photos must have been taken after January 1, 2020, be unpublished, and anyone can participate regardless of age or region.
Applicants can submit up to five printed photos sized 11×14 inches. Applications, pledges, and entry forms can be submitted in person or by mail to the Tourism Marketing Team of the Tourism Division at Muan County Office.
The county plans to select a total of 31 works through a selection committee review in early December, awarding 1 Grand Prize of 1.5 million KRW, 2 Silver Prizes of 700,000 KRW each, 5 Bronze Prizes of 500,000 KRW each, and 23 Honorable Mentions of 200,000 KRW each. The winning works will be announced on the county website in December.
Governor Kim San said, "The selected works from this contest will be widely used as promotional materials to introduce Muan through tourism brochures and tourism fairs. We hope many people will show interest and participate to showcase Muan's unique charm."
