Lotte Department Store is running a used blanket donation campaign for rescue dogs during the winter season. Temporary shelters where abandoned dogs stay until adoption require heating supplies such as blankets in winter, but they face difficulties due to insufficient support. Accordingly, Lotte Department Store has installed 'Donation Counters' at six stores including the main branch, Cheongnyangni branch, and Suwon branch, allowing customers to donate used blankets instead of discarding them for the rescue dogs. Acceptable donation items include pads, quilted blankets, blankets, and single-layer blankets. Customers who donate during the campaign period will receive a 50% discount coupon valid until the end of this month for bedding brands such as Renoma Home and Elle.
Various contents such as exhibitions and photo zones have also been prepared. At the Suwon branch, photos capturing the process of abandoned dogs being rescued and their brightened appearances after adoption will be displayed in an exhibition format. On the 13th, a one-day bazaar will be held at the Cheongnyangni branch in collaboration with the animal protection group Yuhaengsa, with part of the proceeds donated to support abandoned companion animals. Additionally, at the main branch, Suwon branch, and other stores, visiting customers will receive postcards and stickers featuring companion dog characters.
