[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Central Accident Response Headquarters for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (AI) announced on the 5th that H5-type AI antigen was detected at a layer farm located in Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk.
The farm was raising 154,800 chickens. There are no other poultry farms within a 500m radius. The Central Response Headquarters is currently verifying whether it is highly pathogenic.

The Central Response Headquarters deployed an initial response team to the farm to implement quarantine measures such as access control, culling, and epidemiological investigation. Additionally, from 12:00 PM that day, a 24-hour temporary movement suspension order was issued for poultry farms, related livestock facilities and vehicles in Jeonbuk, as well as layer farms, related facilities, and livestock vehicles nationwide.
