Belonging to the Atmospheric Environment Remote Sensing Laboratory of the Environmental Engineering Department at Pukyong National University, they recently received the Excellent Paper Award and Excellent Presentation Award respectively at the '2022 Korean Society for Atmospheric Environment 65th Annual Conference' held at Songdo Convensia, Incheon.
Sohee Joo was selected as the recipient of the Excellent Paper Award for her study titled "Analysis of Particle Dispersion Efficiency and Changes in Fine Dust Characteristics in Busan and Ulsan."
Juseon Shin received the Excellent Presentation Award by presenting research on "Improvement of Scanning Lidar Signal Processing and Analysis Algorithms" in the Fine Dust Management Specialized Graduate School special session of the conference.
Senior student Gahyun Park also received the Excellent Presentation Award in the Future Researchers category for her study titled "Analysis of the Effect of Relative Humidity on Fine Dust Mass Dispersion Efficiency Using Lidar Data."
Professor Youngmin Noh of the laboratory, in collaboration with Professor Deokhyun Kim of Hanbat National University, was awarded the Excellent Presentation Paper Award at last year's Korean Society for Atmospheric Environment Annual Conference for their research on "Distance-based Measurement Method of Fine Dust Dispersion Coefficient Using Continuous Light Source and Camera," and received the award again at this conference.
Professor Youngmin Noh of Pukyong National University stated, "It seems that the significance and achievements of various applied research using the latest remote sensing technology for atmospheric environment analysis have been recognized."
