KOTRA, 23 European Regional Trade Offices Fully Support 'Export Plus' Initiative
Selecting Promising Items Through Opportunity Factor Analysis Amid Global Economic Challenges
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KOTRA announced on the 4th that it is proactively supporting the ‘Export Plus’ project through its 23 European regional trade offices by pre-analyzing opportunity factors in the European market such as ▲Hallyu consumer goods ▲defense industry ▲energy saving ▲renewable energy and selecting promising items.
KOTRA is promoting the export business of K-Box, which bundles several popular items into one set, through the ‘Europe K-Lifestyle’ event. The K-Box export business is an export marketing project that supports everything from export preparation to entry into local B2C platforms by composing K-Beauty and Food boxes with various domestic and startup products tailored to the preferences of local vendors. Furthermore, KOTRA plans to target global distribution networks such as Amazon Europe through various customized local marketing strategies.
Support for European exports of defense and security products is also underway. KOTRA held a session explaining the excellence of K-defense products at MSPO, Poland’s largest defense exhibition, held last September. Following this, until December, it is promoting the ‘European Defense Export Consultation Meeting’ mainly in Eastern Europe, including Poland, Croatia, and Slovakia.
KOTRA’s European Regional Headquarters will also hold the ‘Europe Smart Energy Solutions’ consultation meeting until the end of November. It will showcase Korean products with promising local market entry potential, such as smart grids, intelligent energy solutions, and energy monitoring systems, to 100 European buyers. On the 3rd of this month, a ‘Webinar Supporting the Entry of Energy Efficiency Products into Europe’ was held, where local experts from the European Heat Pump Association and the Spanish Energy Efficiency Enterprise Association shared strategies for entering the European energy-saving market.
Last month, the ‘Europe Green Energy’ event targeting the Nordic markets such as Sweden and Norway was also held. The event consisted of various programs including a global value chain (GVC) entry webinar, a technology cooperation consultation meeting in the hydrogen sector, and one-on-one business consultations on green energy.
