"Since it is a blind test, there are no separate quotas regarding origin, school, or study abroad status, but I think it is possible to highlight these aspects during the interview process."
A recruitment briefing session for students studying in Beijing, China, was held on the 3rd, hosted by the Korean Embassy in China and the Financial Supervisory Service Beijing Office.
The event, held at the main auditorium of the Korean Cultural Center in Beijing, was attended by about 50 people, including Chinese international students and representatives from financial companies' Chinese branches.
Economic Counselor Yoo Bok-geun of the Korean Embassy in China explained in his congratulatory speech that this would be an opportunity to obtain employment information from industry insiders amid tightening job markets and difficulties in Korea-China exchanges.
Following an explanation of the recent financial industry status and employment trends by Kim Hyung-wook, head of the Financial Supervisory Service Beijing Office, representatives from Hana Bank, Export-Import Bank of Korea, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, Korean Re, and Korea Investment & Securities introduced their companies' job roles and employment strategies. Lee Won-dong, head of Shinhan Bank's China branch, specifically explained know-how for writing self-introduction letters and interview response methods.
