View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 30th that it has urgently provided a special grant of 1 billion won to Seoul City in relation to the accident that occurred near the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 29th.
The special grant will be used for the prompt handling of the 'Itaewon accident' site, operation of the countermeasures headquarters, emergency relief, and other urgent accident response efforts.

Minister Lee Sang-min stated, "We plan to actively provide the necessary financial support for the swift handling of the accident, and will work closely with Seoul City and Yongsan-gu to ensure the accident is resolved as soon as possible."
