On this day, the Jogye Order released a condolence statement saying, "We pray for the peaceful repose of the young souls who lost their lives in this unexpected accident," and added, "We hope for the speedy recovery and safe return of the injured."
They continued, "Once again, a heartbreaking large-scale safety accident has occurred in our society," and urged, "The relevant authorities must thoroughly investigate the causes and process of this disaster to ensure that there are no more sacrifices of the youth, who are the future leaders."
They also stated, "There is no value more precious than life, whether in heaven or on earth," and emphasized, "The entire society must strive for preventive efforts to ensure that no innocent lives are lost."
