Busan City achieved significant results at the 'Blockchain Week in Busan 2022' event, which opened on the 27th and closed on the 29th.
On the 28th at 4:40 PM at BEXCO, a business agreement was signed with 'VCABB,' a global venture capital consortium, and domestic and international blockchain companies such as 'TKX Capital,' 'Eternal,' and 'CertiK' to support the development of Busan's blockchain industry and the establishment of a digital asset exchange.
The signing ceremony was attended by Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, as well as representatives from VCABB including AlphaNonce, Coinness, EOS Network Foundation, Foresight Ventures, OKX Blockdream Ventures, and Ragnar Capital Management.
Also present were representatives from TKX Capital, Eternal Co., Ltd., and CertiK LLC, which are relocating their headquarters to Busan.
Through this agreement, these companies will promote the establishment of the Busan Digital Asset Exchange. They also plan to collaborate with Busan City to advance various projects in the blockchain sector.
VCABB will collaborate with Busan City to create a blockchain ecosystem by investing $100 million over three years in blockchain companies based in Busan. Additionally, three domestic and international blockchain companies will relocate their headquarters to Busan and establish Korean branches in Busan to cooperate with the digital asset exchange.
Busan City is implementing policies to foster the blockchain industry ecosystem, including establishing a digital asset exchange and a blockchain specialized business center, aiming to develop Busan into Asia's digital finance hub city.
