KOTRA Hosts Korea-Japan Smart Factory Partnering Project
Japan 'Factory Innovation Week' Linked Online and Offline Consultation Event Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will hold the 'Korea-Japan Smart Factory Partnering' project for three days from the 26th to the 29th of this month in Nagoya, Japan.
This event is an exhibition consultation held in conjunction with Japan's largest manufacturing exhibition, 'Factory Innovation Week 2022'. Factory Innovation Week this year is composed of the Robotics and Smart Factory Expo, Green Factory Expo, and others. A total of 595 companies from Japan and abroad are participating, with a target of 30,000 visitors.
KOTRA announced that 30 domestic small and medium-sized enterprises related to smart factories will participate in both online and offline formats at this consultation, holding discussions with about 100 Japanese companies. These companies will exhibit various products such as smart manufacturing equipment, predictive maintenance solutions (automatic detection of factory abnormalities), and factory management systems in the form of samples and digital content. On-site presentations of domestic products will also be promoted, enabling video consultations on the spot. Consultations with Japanese companies such as Okayakoki and Toyota Tsusho are scheduled.
After the exhibition consultation, KOTRA plans to house companies with promising local expansion prospects at the KOTRA Nagoya Global Partnering (GP) Center to provide long-term support and help generate results. Since Aichi Prefecture, the event location, is a local manufacturing cluster with aging facilities, smart factory projects are essential, and this is to secure related business opportunities.
