CJ Logistics Builds Digital Twin Technology to "Resolve Logistics Bottlenecks"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CJ Logistics announced on the 26th that it has completed the establishment of the digital twin-based visualization dashboard system ‘APOLO-D’ across its nationwide fulfillment centers.
This system visualizes the complex logistics processes, various data, and operational indicators occurring within the fulfillment centers in reality, implementing them on a digital dashboard. With real-time monitoring, it is possible to maintain a smooth logistics flow. Utilizing accumulated data, it also enables inventory analysis by seller and product.
In particular, this system monitors logistics centers in real time and immediately issues alert notifications when bottlenecks are expected or occur. Through this, CJ Logistics provides consumers with a higher level of delivery service. As bottlenecks in centers are eliminated, consumers can more reliably receive products ordered by 24:00 on the same day the next day. Along with next-day delivery, various time-specific delivery services such as dawn delivery and same-day delivery can be simultaneously implemented within a single fulfillment center.
Additionally, based on the accumulated logistics data, marketing insights are provided to sellers. CJ Logistics analyzes inventory turnover rates based on product-specific inventory and shipment data and informs sellers accordingly. Sellers can promote sales by employing new marketing strategies such as SNS advertising, discount events, and changes in distribution channels targeting products with low inventory turnover rates.
CJ Logistics plans to further enhance logistics operation efficiency and improve convenience for sellers and consumers by operating the digital twin-based ‘APOLO-D’ system going forward.
