Since May, the city has been conducting a campaign at least once a month targeting pedestrians and drivers to comply with safety rules, in cooperation with self-governing organizations, eup/myeon/dong offices, the police station, and traffic volunteer groups.
On this day, about 30 people participated, including officials from the city's Traffic Policy Division, Gimhae Jungbu Police Station, Gimhae Jungbu Model Drivers Association, Korea Traffic Safety Volunteer Association, Donggwang Traffic Volunteer Corps, and Gimhae Jungbu Green Mothers' Association.
The participants used banners and hand signs to promote the necessity of turning on vehicle turn signals, which has a relatively low compliance rate among citizens.
They also promoted the establishment of a safe usage culture for personal mobility devices such as electric kickboards and distributed promotional materials and wet tissues.
