HSD Engine is a mid-sized company manufacturing large ship engines, planning to invest 18.1 billion KRW in facility expansion within the Changwon National Industrial Complex and hire 30 new employees. This new investment is expected to further invigorate the local economy.
The city plans to provide financial support such as new regular employment subsidies for Changwon citizens to the companies that signed the agreement and will also actively support the smooth progress of investments administratively.
On the same day, the '2022 Gyeongsangnam-do Metropolitan Area Investment Attraction Briefing' was held at the Westin Chosun Seoul Hotel, attended by about 300 CEOs from domestic and international companies.
At the event, the city attracted much interest from participating companies by operating an investment promotion center and networking with potential investors, introducing Changwon City's excellent investment environment and differentiated support systems compared to other cities and provinces.
Changwon Special City is fully committed to revitalizing corporate attraction through specialized systems such as special support for strategic industries, new regular employment subsidies for Changwon citizens, additional special support for local youth employment linked to these subsidies, and comprehensive one-stop support throughout the entire investment process before, during, and after investment. Next year, the city plans to further enhance its unique appeal by strengthening support systems in the advanced industry sector.
