OKPOS is used by approximately 220,000 franchise stores, 95% of which are food service businesses. In March of this year, it launched 'Oneul Eolma', a sales management service app that shares menu and customer analysis data with franchise stores. Marketboro operates the food ingredient distribution SaaS (Software as a Service) 'Marketbom' and the food ingredient open market 'Sikbom', focusing on online-centered food ingredient distribution business. CJ Freshway made a strategic investment in Marketboro last June.
Through this business agreement, the three companies have agreed to work together to develop the food ingredient distribution market, which was previously offline and regionally based, into a hybrid market by strengthening the connection between online and offline. First, the 'Oneul Eolma' app used by restaurant workers with OKPOS-installed POS systems and Marketboro's food ingredient open market Sikbom will conduct joint marketing so that customers of both companies can solve everything from sales management to food ingredient purchasing in a one-stop manner. CJ Freshway will share know-how across the entire food ingredient distribution value chain, including products, logistics, and marketing, and will be responsible for strategic support to maximize synergy effects. In the future, the companies plan to develop differentiated customer-tailored services based on data such as store payments and food ingredient transactions held by each company.
