Gurye-gun Maechun Library Successfully Concludes 2022 'Humanities on the Road' Program

Successful Multicultural Children and Gurye Exploration Specialized Field Trip Program Completion
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] Jeonnam Gurye-gun Maechun Library announced that it successfully completed two sections of the 2022 "Humanities on the Road at Libraries" program, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Korea Library Association, with a total of 444 participants (26 sessions).
This project, under the theme "Jirisan is Alive," combined lectures and explorations to provide a three-dimensional understanding of the Gurye area and was conducted until August. Another exploration program titled "Exploring Gurye in the Bongseong Era, Bongseong Scenic Spots" was held, where multicultural children explored beautiful historical sites hidden in Gurye's old names.
Participants in the Humanities on the Road program said, "We are grateful to participate in the humanities lecture and exploration with the feeling of going on a picnic, and we hope there will be many more practical lectures utilizing local community human resources."
County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, "I hope that through the Humanities on the Road program, people will regain the leisure to feel abundant happiness in their daily lives, and we will strive to continuously offer various experts from diverse fields to make the library a sustainable humanities center."
