The Colors of Autumn Leaves... Focusing on 'Red Food'

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] As autumn arrives, the dining industry is launching red foods that remind people of the red color of autumn leaves one after another.

According to the industry on the 22nd, Yuksudang is holding a discount event on red soup menu items that have the same color as autumn leaves until the 30th.

In this discount event, Yuksudang offers about 10-15% off on its red and spicy menu items, ‘Hanyang-style Yukgaejang’ and ‘Soyang Gomtang,’ catering to customers who prefer hot and spicy soup dishes during the autumn season.

They also prepared a set menu for delivery customers to celebrate the autumn leaves. The set includes the red-colored menu items Hanyang-style Yukgaejang, Soyang Gomtang, and Ugeoji Bone Hangover Soup, with two Su Mandu (handmade dumplings) added.

Pizza Alvolo launched tteokbokki, a representative red food menu, as a new side dish and is holding a commemorative event. Unlike regular tteokbokki, this version includes spaghetti noodles for differentiation. Additionally, it uses Sunchang gochujang and domestically produced Uiseong garlic to suit Korean tastes.

To celebrate the launch of tteokbokki, Pizza Alvolo is running an event until the 10th of next month where customers who order a large size Artisan Pizza (Shrimp & Hot Chicken Gold) will receive a free tteokbokki.

CJ Foodville’s VIPS has launched a seafood menu under the concept of ‘Red Seafood Festa’ to welcome the gourmet season of autumn.

The menu items mainly use seafood that turns red when cooked, featuring signature dishes such as ‘Melting Butter Grilled Lobster,’ ‘Crispy Shrimp & Crab,’ and ‘Shrimp Rose Pasta.’ These dishes are completed using various seasonings, sauces, and toppings to allow customers to enjoy seafood in a more diverse way.
