Seoul Seobu Police Station Holds 'Human Rights and Integrity Calligraphy Empathy Exhibition' on Police Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Western Seoul Police Station announced on the 21st that it held the 'Calligraphy Empathy Exhibition' at the main building at around 10:30 a.m. to commemorate the 77th Police Day.
The exhibition was held in the second part following the first part, the Police Day commemorative ceremony. At this event, 66 calligraphy pieces containing police officers' honest thoughts on spreading awareness of human rights and integrity were displayed. The Western Police Station collected officers' thoughts by conducting a 'Good Writing' contest through the police station's online bulletin board for 20 days starting from the 1st of last month.

At the exhibition, Kim Seon-gwon, chief of the Western Police Station, mentioned the writing by Police Officer Kim from Yeokchon Police Box, "The dirt on the uniform can be washed away, but the dirt on the conscience cannot," emphasizing that "Integrity and sensitivity to human rights are important issues that determine the future of the police." Furthermore, Chief Kim expressed hope that the exhibition would become a tradition of the Western Police Station in the future.
