BMW Korea Partners with Cybersecurity Company Fortinet
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] BMW Korea announced on the 12th that it has formed an official partnership with global cybersecurity solutions company Fortinet for the BMW Ladies Championship 2022, the only women's professional golf association (LPGA) tournament in Korea.
Fortinet hosted the Fortinet Championship on the US PGA Tour in September last year and partnered with the DP World Tour in November of the same year as the official cybersecurity partner. Hansang Yoon, CEO of BMW Korea, said, "As digital technology innovation has become a key issue in major global golf tournaments recently, we are pleased to establish a partnership with Fortinet, a global leader in cybersecurity."

The BMW Ladies Championship 2022, with a total prize money of $2 million (winner's prize $300,000), will be held over four days in a 72-hole stroke play format, featuring 78 players including 68 top-level LPGA Tour players and 8 special invitees. This year, two amateur players recommended by the Korea Golf Association (KGA) were also granted entry. The tournament will be conducted as a zero-waste event minimizing paper use, in connection with the Gangwon Province community green campaign.
