In Chilly Weather... Market Kurly Sees Sharp Increase in Sales of Soup Dishes and Heating Products
Special Discount on Soup Dishes Until the 13th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Recent sharply colder weather has led to a significant increase in sales of soup dishes and heating products.
According to Market Kurly on the 11th, sales of hot pot dishes and cold-weather products increased by 83% compared to the previous month from the 26th of last month to the 6th of this month.
Sales of convenient hot pot meals rose by 80%. In particular, the Whale Brand Fish Cake Kimchi Udon Hot Pot, available exclusively at Market Kurly, was the most popular. This product features udon noodles and fish cakes with kimchi stir-fry seasoning, offering a spicy broth perfect for chilly weather.
Sales of heating appliances increased more than eightfold. Premium water mats from Kyungdong Navien, electric heating pads from Boguk, and other home heating devices saw significant growth, while smaller items such as heaters, warm air fans, and hot packs also gained popularity.
