The recruitment briefing will be operated for international organization recruitment working overseas and international organization recruitment working domestically, and will be held on the 12th at the Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok Grand Auditorium and seminar room.
The briefing on advancing to international organizations working overseas will include personnel from seven overseas international organizations: △United Nations Secretariat △United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) △United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) △World Food Programme (WFP) △Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) △United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) △United Nations Volunteers (UNV).
Attendees can hear vivid employment tips such as recruitment systems by organization and resume writing guidelines directly introduced by personnel from the seven overseas international organizations, and also gain practical experience through on-site mock interviews. This is expected to be a great opportunity for young people interested in employment at international organizations.
Recruitment counselors from six international organizations based in Seoul and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea will also be available. At the international organization booths, information on domestic recruitment and internship systems can be obtained, and at the Human Resources Development Service booth, employment information such as overseas employment projects supported by the service can be checked.
This "International Organization Advancement Briefing" is a specialized event for international organizations held for 15 years. Since 2015, it has been jointly hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and this year's briefing on the 12th is the first face-to-face event in three years since COVID-19.
After monitoring the outcomes of this briefing, Seoul plans to provide tailored advice, counseling, and consultation to connect attendees to practical employment, including support for English self-introduction letters and mock interviews. They will manage the event to provide substantial help to attendees hoping for overseas employment or advancement to domestic and international organizations.
