Millie's Library Releases Audio Drama 'Welcome to Hyunamdong Bookstore'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The first audio drama presented jointly by Millie's Library and Genie Music, "Welcome to Hyunamdong Bookstore," was released today. Each episode is 10 minutes long, with a total of fifteen episodes available for listening on the Millie's Library and Genie Music apps.
This audio drama is based on the best-selling book of the same name, which was published in print following its popularity as an e-book on Millie's Library. It tells a warm and empathetic story about the owner of Hyunamdong Bookstore, opened in an ordinary neighborhood, who shares life’s worries with various customers visiting the bookstore, becoming a source of comfort for each other.
Actress Oh Yeon-seo plays Lee Young-joo, the bookstore owner who sincerely loves people, books, and coffee, while actor Lee Soo-hyuk portrays Hyun Seung-woo, a regular customer and star author of the bookstore.
The technology of KT and Genie Music was actively utilized. Among the fifteen roles including the main actors, nine roles were voiced by AI, replicating voices such as Yoon Do-hyun. The audio drama’s OST, "Same Pillow," also applied Genie Music’s AI music creation technology. The voice of Lee So-jung, the main vocalist of the group Ladies' Code and a TOP 4 contestant on "Sing Again," was dubbed over.
