The Next-Generation Semiconductor Innovation Shared University is a digital new technology talent cultivation innovation shared university project for nurturing semiconductor-related industry personnel, led by Seoul National University and participated in by Daegu University, Kangwon National University, Soongsil University, Chosun University of Science and Technology, Chung-Ang University, and Pohang University of Science and Technology. It focuses on next-generation (system and intelligent) semiconductor business.
During the LOC internship program, held from July 4 to August 26, participating students conducted team projects on various research topics such as semiconductors, AI, and deep learning, and held a competition based on their project research results.
The eight-week LOC internship program produced a total of 73 graduates (16 from Daegu University).
Among them, Daegu University students (Kim Jeong-gi, Woo Jeong-su, Kim Junsu, Lee Jumi), who participated as interns in "Deep Learning-Based Applied System Design" and presented on "AI design creating new characters using StyleGan2 with ADA artificial intelligence," were selected as grand prize winners.
