Jeon Nam-do Councilor Choi Byung-yong Secures 1 Billion KRW for Dangerous Road Improvement Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Choi Byung-yong, Jeonnam Provincial Councilor (Democratic Party of Korea·Yeosu 5), announced on the 28th that he secured a budget of 1 billion KRW for the dangerous road improvement project, resolving a long-standing local issue.
On the same day, Councilor Choi held a residents' briefing session on the Yeosu Beolga-Gongjeong District Curved Dangerous Road Improvement Project at the Beolga-ri Office in Hwayang-myeon, Yeosu City, attended by about 30 people including village residents and officials from the Jeonnam Provincial Road Management Office.
The local road No. 863 in the area of San 591, Imok-ri, Hwayang-myeon, Yeosu, is known for its severe curves and frequent accidents, leading to many requests from residents for improvements.
This project will proceed after consultations with related agencies, with the road zone change decision to be announced in January next year, followed by compensation negotiations for the incorporated land. Construction bidding will start in March, and the project is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
