Choi Jin-sik, Chairman of the Korea Association of Mid-sized Enterprises, stated this on the 26th at the '2nd Mid-sized Enterprise Innovation Growth Policy Forum' jointly hosted by the National Assembly's Planning and Finance Committee Chairman's Office and the Korea Association of Mid-sized Enterprises, emphasizing, "We must stop the wasteful debates based on ideological conflict frames and focus all efforts on strengthening corporate competitiveness, which is the core of national competitiveness, and establishing a foundation for sustainable economic growth."
At the forum, Chairman Choi said, "Reducing the corporate tax burden, integrated investment tax credits such as R&D, and expanding the scope of income tax reductions are strategic means to enable aggressive corporate investment and strengthen national industrial competitiveness," adding, "This is why discussions to examine the meaning of policy innovation as a measure to respond to the global complex crisis and to seek improvement plans are timely."
Chairman Choi continued, "There can be no disagreement that all citizens are equal before the law," and added, "Not only companies but also the government and ruling and opposition parties in the National Assembly must come together to find ways to guarantee corporate sustainability as the foundation of management know-how transfer, entrepreneurship, and national economic and industrial competitiveness, rather than unwanted discrimination of property rights by companies themselves."
