View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) held the "2022 Seongbuk Welfare and Volunteer Festival" at the Seongbuk-gu Community Sports Center on the 23rd to commemorate the 23rd Social Welfare Day.
A Seongbuk-gu official stated, "This event was prepared for the emotional recharge and communication of public and private social welfare workers and district council members."
Held face-to-face for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, the "2022 Seongbuk Welfare and Volunteer Festival" was hosted and organized by Seongbuk-gu, the Seongbuk-gu Community Social Security Council, and the Seongbuk-gu Dong Community Social Security Council, with about 300 participants including public and private social welfare workers and district council members.
Starting with a caricature exhibition of awardees who contributed to welfare promotion held on the 1st floor of Seongbuk-gu Office on the 7th of this month, the "2022 Seongbuk Welfare and Volunteer Festival" on the 23rd included the presentation of the Mayor's Commendation. Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu personally awarded commendations to 60 distinguished individuals: 15 private workers, 8 sponsors, 19 residents, and 18 public officials.
Popera Paradise marked the beginning of the event, which offered various performances and activities such as commendations for contributors to local welfare promotion, a cheerful sports day, a Taekwondo performance, an awards ceremony, and a raffle, providing attendees with opportunities for communication and emotional recharge.
A cheerful sports day was also held to facilitate communication between private social welfare workers and district council members. As various competitions continued, participants naturally harmonized.
