[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] About 10,000 citizen supporters will be launched to boost the atmosphere for the Ulsan National Sports Festival and the National Para Games to be held this October.
On the 22nd at 10 a.m., Ulsan City will hold the "103rd National Sports Festival and 42nd National Para Games Pan-Citizen Supporters Launch Ceremony" at the city hall auditorium, attended by 250 people including citizens, students, and sports organization cheering squads.
The launch ceremony is divided into two parts. The first part includes a pre-ceremony performance, reading of the supporters' representative resolution, stacking of a success prayer tower, and chanting slogans to wish for the successful hosting of the games.
The second part consists of activity training for supporters and district/county officials.
The pan-citizen supporters are composed of three sectors: citizens, students, and sports organizations. During June, 10,947 people registered, and citizens who wish to join additionally can participate at any time.
The supporters' activity period is from the launch ceremony until the conclusion of the National Para Games on October 24.
Ulsan City plans to support the active activities of the supporters by providing promotional souvenirs and cheering supplies, recognizing volunteer activity hours, and awarding the mayor’s commendation to outstanding supporters after the games.
The 103rd National Sports Festival will be held from October 7 to October 13, and the 42nd National Para Games will be held from October 19 to October 24.
