2022 Electronic Publishing Award Goes to Han Seong-won for 'Grandmother, Our Grandmother'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomibeum] Artist Han Seong-won won the '2022 9th Korea Electronic Publishing Award' (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award) with the work 'Grandmother, Our Grandmother' (Sodong). This work, which shows the courageous journey of 'comfort women' victims, was praised for demonstrating an excellent example of an e-book in terms of popularity, technicality, and planning by utilizing illustrations, comics, and various multimedia functions. The award ceremony was held on the 21st at Seoul Book Bogo.
The Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency, which hosted the contest, stated, "We hope that the Electronic Publishing Award contest will present publishers with the possibility of challenging the production of diverse and innovative electronic publishing content suitable for the 4th Industrial Revolution era, and serve as an opportunity to raise readers' interest in electronic publications."
