HanmiGlobal Announces Recruitment for 19th Class of Next-Generation Construction Leader Academy Trainees
[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] The Next-Generation Construction Leader Academy announced on the 20th that it is recruiting the 19th class of trainees for 2022, targeting university (graduate) students majoring in architecture and civil engineering nationwide.
According to the organizer HanmiGlobal, this academy is Korea's first industry-academia cooperative education program in the construction field, established in 2007 and operated through the 18th class. So far, a total of 970 students from 75 domestic and international universities have completed the course. The employment and further education rate of graduates is about 83%.
The curriculum is operated in a blended format, with online education during the semester and short-term intensive camps during vacation periods. The 19th class will receive education from October 17 to December 28.
Under the vision of "nurturing talented individuals with potential to become drivers of change in the next-generation construction industry," the program consists of five educational modules: ▲General Construction Industry ▲Creative Problem Solving ▲Global Competency ▲Field and Theoretical Practice ▲Character Education. Practical, hands-on lectures that trainees can experience are also provided.
To reflect the latest trends in the construction industry, more than 40 current construction experts, professors, and prominent social figures (CEOs) participate. Applications for the program are available on the Next-Generation Construction Leader Academy website until the 25th of this month.

A HanmiGlobal official said, "During the curriculum, regional research projects will be conducted to deepen the knowledge acquired, and actual construction industry workers will participate as mentors. The best project team will receive prize money, and outstanding graduates will be awarded scholarships and given special benefits when applying for new employee recruitment at HanmiGlobal."
