[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Jeollanam-do Gurye-gun (Governor Kim Sun-ho) announced on the 19th that it has signed a business agreement with Korea National University of Arts (President Kim Dae-jin) to revitalize local culture and arts.
About 10 people, including Kim Sun-ho, Governor of Gurye-gun, and Kim Dae-jin, President of Korea National University of Arts, attended the signing ceremony held at Korea National University of Arts (located in Seoul) on the day.
Korea National University of Arts (hereinafter referred to as 'KNUA') is a specialized educational institution in the field of culture and arts that has produced numerous talents, and is renowned as a dream school for students aspiring to work in this field.
Since last year, Gurye-gun and KNUA have held practical consultations to discuss areas of future cooperation between the two institutions and have set a common goal of revitalizing culture and arts and expanding the cultural and artistic base in local areas.
An official from the county said, "Taking this agreement as an opportunity, cultural and artistic education programs for local students, cultural and artistic performances for local residents, and field survey programs for KNUA students will be actively promoted. In the future, we also aim to establish a regional hub center with activities covering the Gwangju and Jeolla areas."
