National Pukyong University Hosts Marine and Fisheries Training for Faculty and Staff of Sri Lanka Ocean University

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Overseas Fisheries Cooperation Center of Pukyong National University held an opening ceremony for the "Sri Lanka Ocean University Administrative Manager Capacity Building Invitation Training" program at the Miraegwan on the 15th.
Sixteen faculty and staff members, including administrative managers from Sri Lanka Ocean University participating in the program, will learn about the development experiences of Korea's marine fisheries industry and marine fisheries education system for one week.
Starting with the opening ceremony, the participants will visit Pukyong National University, Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Korea Maritime and Fisheries Training Institute, East Sea Fisheries Management Unit's Operation Monitoring Center, and Busan New Port for field studies and experiential activities.
The program was conducted as an official development assistance (ODA) project in the marine fisheries sector jointly prepared by Pukyong National University, Korea Maritime and Ocean University, and the Korea International Cooperation Agency.

Since 2007, the Overseas Fisheries Cooperation Center of Pukyong National University has been conducting fisheries training projects to transfer Korea's advanced fisheries technology to developing countries in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency and others.
