Full of Food and Fun! ... Busan Gijang-gun Hosts 'Gijang Market Hanmadang Festival'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Gijang-gun will hold the "2022 Gijang Market Hanmadang Festival," a three-day event from the 23rd to the 25th at Gijang Market, the representative traditional market of the Dongbusan area.
The event, co-hosted by the Gijang Market Cultural Market Promotion Committee and the Gijang Market Cultural Tourism Market Development Project Group, is planned and operated directly by the merchants of Gijang Market under the subtitle "Delicious Gijang Sea Food."
The opening ceremony, starting at 7 PM on the 23rd, will feature congratulatory performances by singers Jang Min-ho, Bae Chae-yeon, and Jung Hee-sung.
On the 24th and 25th, various events will be held, including "I am also a Gijang Star," a contest open to the public; the "Fresh Concert" featuring singers Hong Jin-young and Super Diva; the "Gijang Market Song Festival," a competition for amateur singers; and the "Sea Music Concert" by cultural and performance club teams active in the Gijang area.
A food market where visitors can purchase fresh fish, shellfish, snow crabs, and more directly from the market and enjoy them on-site will also be held as a side event.
For families with children, there will be a children's cooking experience class and a DIY fishing rod making workshop. Additionally, events such as a clearance auction, "Speak by Touch," and MC-led recreation activities are prepared.
