The College Innovation Support Project Group at Gyeongnam National University held an awards ceremony for the undergraduate Jisan Industry-Academia Cooperation Project Competition.

The Undergraduate Industry-Academia Cooperation Project is a program where students directly participate in research and local community-industry cooperation projects led by their department advisors, enhancing their problem exploration and problem-solving skills.
This competition was held over one month from June to July, selecting and awarding six outstanding projects out of a total of 52 undergraduate industry-academia cooperation projects.
As a result, the project titled "Cosmetic Potential of Fucus Extract" by Lee Su-a, a senior in the Department of Bio Convergence, was selected as the grand prize winner.
"Fucus" is a type of seaweed distributed in the East Sea and South Sea. Student Lee Su-a conducted an industry-academia cooperation project on the skin health benefits and potential as a cosmetic ingredient of Fucus together with her advisor, Professor Kim Gyo-nam of the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering.
