Imsil-gun Accelerates Preparations for Imsil N Cheese Festival
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, is stepping up efforts to ensure the successful hosting of the ImsilN Cheese Festival, held for the first time in three years.
According to the county on the 15th, the ImsilN Cheese Festival will be held both online and offline for four days from next month 7th to 10th at the Imsil Cheese Theme Park, Imsil Cheese Village, and around Imsil-eup.
Marking its 8th edition, this year’s ImsilN Cheese Festival is being prepared more richly and abundantly, as it could not be held for the past two years due to COVID-19.
On this day, the county held a final report meeting on the preparation status by each department to ensure the successful promotion of the ImsilN Cheese Festival.
The final report meeting was attended by about 20 people, including County Governor Shim Min, heads of various offices and divisions, and related agency heads, where the promotion plans were thoroughly reviewed once again by each person in charge to check that the event could proceed smoothly.
Along with preparing festival programs, the county plans to prioritize tourists’ convenience and safety by arranging parking facilities, various convenience facilities, and safety measures.
In addition, various measures to improve the quality of the festival were also proposed.
The festival organizing committee reported on the overall operation of the festival and presented a response plan for COVID-19 to ensure a safe festival venue.
Since its first hosting in 2015 with the start of the 6th local government administration, the ImsilN Cheese Festival has rapidly grown into a representative festival of Korea, attracting 400,000 to 500,000 visitors annually as the number of tourists surged.
It has significantly contributed to spreading the Imsil-gun and ImsilN Cheese brands nationwide, being selected as a cultural tourism festival for three consecutive years.
County Governor Shim Min said, “I hope that this face-to-face festival held after three years will be one where visitors can enjoy without inconvenience and safely, so please pay close attention to even the smallest details.”
More detailed information can be found on the ImsilN Cheese Festival website, and this year’s opening celebration will feature performances by popular singers Song Gain, Hong Jinyoung, Kim Yongim, and Park Gun.
