'My Special Moment!' ... This Fall, Come to Gumi Full of Romance~!
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] This year’s tourism trend is about creating “my special moments.”
Let’s embark on a journey to travel destinations that create my special moments along with the autumn breeze.
“Comfort and healing” is the tourism trend of 2022.
‘Gumi Eco Land,’ a resting space in the forest, is ideal as a healing spot. It is also a “Safe Tourism Destination” selected by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2022.
The ecological exploration monorail, where you can fully feel nature, is a favorite experience facility for people of all ages. Along with facilities such as the Forest Culture Center and the Children’s Theme Curriculum Forest, and various programs, it has gained much love and established itself as a healing tourist destination.
There is a quiet village where you can experience traditional houses and Silla’s traditional clothing. This is the Silla Buddhism First Propagation Site.
The memorial hall shows the process until Silla Buddhism blossomed, and the exhibition houses with four spaces of clothing, food, housing, and law display the lifestyle of that time. Just viewing the natural scenery such as the pond is enough, but an even more special event is prepared this fall.
It is the ‘Morye:Rang’ program, which is richly composed of a hanok picnic, hanok concert, night walk, and craft experiences. It runs from September 24 to October 29, making this autumn journey even more fulfilling.
In autumn, there is a place that excites many people with a pink wave, which is Nakdong River Sports Park. Besides pink muhly grass, you can see reeds and silver grass all at once.
Riding a free bicycle and running through the vast park, you can fully enjoy the savory autumn breeze ripening around you.
In October, the ‘Leisure Sports Festival’ is held, where you can watch and experience various leisure sports, and until mid-November, ‘Marine Safety Education and Experience’ is available at the Nakdong River Water Sports Experience Center.
When traveling to Gumi, the place you cannot miss is undoubtedly Geumo Mountain.
You can fully feel the autumn nature with fall foliage, the cable car, the famous photo zone Doseongul Cave, and the refreshing sound of Daehye Waterfall. The Geumo Mountain Olle Trail, which you walk along with water, is a ‘barrier-free walking trail’ that anyone can enjoy together.
At the end of October, the ‘Youth, Geumocheon 2.4km’ festival will be held, gathering youth from all over the country to bring hot energy to the Geumo Mountain area.
The area around the birthplace of President Park Chung-hee, where you can feel Korea’s modern and contemporary history, is also attracting attention as a family travel destination. The Park Chung-hee Presidential History Museum is a complex cultural space equipped with an exhibition hall, archive, caf?, and rooftop garden, and operates experience programs for children and students, making it a space for families to experience historical culture.
Also, the Saemaeul Movement Theme Park, which you can encounter while walking along the walking path, is well-maintained and hosts various large and small events, attracting continuous visitors.
