Doosan Robotics Establishes Southern Branch to Strengthen Sales Competitiveness

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Doosan Robotics, the No. 1 domestic collaborative robot market share holder, has established a southern branch in Daegu to expand sales capabilities in the Yeongnam region and improve service quality.
Doosan Robotics announced on the 15th that it held an opening ceremony for the southern branch located in Buk-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City. The ceremony was attended by Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, Son Woong-hee, President of the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, Song Gyu-ho, Director of the Daegu Machinery Parts Research Institute, and other related organizations and officials.
The Doosan Robotics southern branch will not only oversee sales in the Yeongnam region but also secure partnerships with local robot automation system integration (SI) companies to contribute to the expansion of the domestic collaborative robot value chain. Additionally, the Daegu office of the country's first specialized collaborative robot contact center, which opened in June, will be relocated near the southern branch to promptly provide field services such as collaborative robot ▲installation and retrieval ▲parts replacement ▲A/S.
Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, emphasized, "Through the establishment of this southern branch, we plan to quickly provide products and services to customers in the Yeongnam region and create synergy by mutually cooperating with Daegu City in areas such as expanding the scope of collaborative robot applications and proposing domestic and international standards. We will accelerate growth further through solid growth, quality improvement, and enhanced customer satisfaction at Doosan Robotics."
Meanwhile, Doosan Robotics has continued its growth trend every year since starting mass production in 2018. Last year, it became the first in the country to surpass 1,000 units in annual collaborative robot sales. To strengthen overseas sales capabilities, it established a U.S. corporation in Plano, Texas, and is preparing to establish a European corporation.
