"Galleria Department Store in Hannam-dong Opens Large-Scale Tennis Pop-up 'Smashing 494'"
Tennis Event Popular Among MZ Generation from the 16th to 25th
15 Brands Participate... Enjoy Diverse Content Experiences
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Galleria Department Store announced on the 15th that it will hold a large-scale tennis pop-up event called 'Smashing 494' at the premium lifestyle platform 'Gourmet 494 Hannam' located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, from the 16th to the 25th.
This pop-up is a large-scale event featuring a total of 15 tennis-related brands, offering experiential content that customers can directly experience and enjoy.
A representative experiential content is the tennis try-out event. The space is designed to resemble an artificial turf court of an actual tennis court, allowing visitors to test newly purchased rackets and brand demo rackets. Serve speed is measured, and various prizes are awarded if the speed exceeds the standard. In the adjacent space, a tennis target board event and motion games are operated, providing experiential events that even tennis beginners can easily enjoy.
Content that allows visitors to enjoy the event atmosphere visually has also been prepared. A photo zone replicating the award ceremony hall and player entrance gate of major tennis tournaments has been set up. A photo printing service is also provided to instantly print photos taken in this space. Inside the Gourmet 494 Hannam store, courts from the four major tennis tournaments?Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open?are recreated to add more attractions.
Additionally, a special exhibition featuring limited edition tennis rackets and bags from luxury brands, as well as vintage classic tennis rackets, will be held.
Along with experiential content, pop-up stores from various brands leading the recent tennis craze will also be showcased. This large-scale product event includes a total of 15 brands, with representative brands such as Wilson, Tecnifibre, Adidas, Dave & Days, Rudy Project, and Banano.
Food and beverage (F&B) events that allow visitors to fully enjoy the tennis event atmosphere are also available. The bakery brand 'Key Coffee' will present butter sugar cookies shaped like tennis rackets and balls, as well as banana pudding, while the cooking studio 'La Cuisine' will offer lemon pound cake shaped like tennis balls. La Cuisine plans to reinterpret strawberries, a favorite at the UK Wimbledon tournament, by performing a sparkling wine presentation with berries floating on top.
