Ildong Pharmaceutical Holds 'Compliance Day' Ceremony... Emphasizing Ethics and Legal Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Ildong Pharmaceutical held a ceremony on the 14th to commemorate 'Compliance Day' and reaffirmed its commitment to ethical and compliance management.
Since 2016, Ildong Pharmaceutical has designated 'Compliance Day' to raise employees' awareness of compliance and to establish and spread a culture of compliance, celebrating it annually. This year, 1,500 members of the Ildong Pharmaceutical Group, including Ildong Pharmaceutical, its affiliates, and the holding company Ildong Holdings, participated in the compliance pledge.
Additionally, to enhance the effectiveness of compliance activities and the Compliance Program (CP) and to strengthen accountability, department-level compliance officers were appointed and outstanding departments were awarded. Following the ceremony, a lecture was held on the theme of ‘CP in the Pharmaceutical Industry and Sustainable Management.’
Yoon Woong-seop, Vice Chairman of Ildong Pharmaceutical, emphasized, “To become a sustainable company, values such as ethics and social responsibility must be inherently embedded,” adding, “Integrity, principles, and ethics must be fundamental in all company activities and decision-making.”

Ildong Pharmaceutical received the highest grade ‘AAA’ in the 2019 CP rating evaluation by the Fair Trade Commission, and in 2020 and 2021, it earned an ‘A’ grade, the highest level in the industry, in the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) evaluation by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS).
