According to Mokpo City on the 14th, the "2022 Mokpo Cultural Heritage Grand Night Tour," promoted as a Cultural Heritage Administration cultural heritage utilization project for five consecutive years, will be held from the 23rd to the 25th, from 6 PM to 10 PM, around the Modern History Cultural Space.
The Cultural Heritage Grand Night Tour takes place at Mokpo's major modern cultural spaces, including Modern History Halls 1 and 2, the former Honam Bank Mokpo Branch, which now houses the Mokpo Popular Music Hall, Mokpojin, the former Simsang Elementary School, and Gyeongdong Cathedral. Visitors can view cultural heritage sites for free at night and enjoy various programs such as performances and experiences harmonized with the cultural heritage.
The "2022 Mokpo Cultural Heritage Grand Night Tour" features 34 programs including exhibitions, experiences, and performances across three zones, recreating the modern Mokpo street.
At the main zones, Modern History Halls 1 and 2, visitors can enjoy the musical "Youth Love Song," the performing show "Sound of the Harbor," the newtro fashion show "Wearing Time," a modern jazz concert, an autumn night serenade, awning art "Night Sky Gallery," street performance "Time Slip to Mokpo," and modern history experience "Nanyeong Street, Those Days."
Additionally, in the Music Zone prepared for the opening of the "Mokpo Popular Music Hall" located in the former Honam Bank Mokpo Branch building, a journey into modern music unfolds with the 1897 Harbor Concours, autumn night symphony, and city choir performances.
Furthermore, the Kids Zone at the former Simsang Elementary School offers experiences such as jade craft led by National Intangible Cultural Heritage holder Jang Joo-won, puppet show "Bukchon People," Mokpo Night History School, and Cultural Heritage Golden Bell quiz.
Moreover, along the street from Yudal Elementary School to Modern History Hall 2, workshops, art galleries, and the Ttokkaebi Market operate, providing various experience programs such as sand art and road painting.
