Kyobo Life Insurance Draws Attention with 'Special Lunch' Featuring Experiential Activities and Seminars During Meals
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 13th that it is conducting experiential activities every month for volunteers among its employees to develop their digital skills and enhance communication.
To make the in-house training activities, which could otherwise feel rigid, easy and enjoyable, the company incorporated a social dining method during lunch hours.
Instead of a one-sided approach, employees share common interests and freely exchange diverse opinions. Participants receive various prizes such as lunch boxes, portable massagers, and coffee vouchers.
In the first session held in June, twenty employees gathered to listen to a lecture on recent hot trends such as the metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFT) while having lunch together.
In the second session in July, participants took a popular personality type test (MBTI) and explored how to directly apply it to organizational culture.
Last month, the third seminar was held under the theme "Understanding Blockchain." Twenty-five participating employees listened to an easy and engaging lecture on blockchain by Team Leader Taedong Lee of the New Technology Development Team and experienced creating NFTs firsthand.
The company explained that Kyobo Life Insurance’s special lunch sessions are rapidly establishing themselves as a new organizational culture beyond educational activities such as understanding digital technologies.
