Pharmaceutical Job Opportunities Open... Spotlight on the 'Pharmaceutical Bio Job Fair' Held In-Person for the First Time in 3 Years
Held on October 11 at Yangjae-dong aT Center
Participation of over 70 domestic pharmaceutical and bio companies
Checking the current state of the industry and providing real hiring opportunities
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The largest recruitment fair in the domestic pharmaceutical and bio industry, the '2022 Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Recruitment Fair,' will be held on the 11th of next month at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul.
Co-hosted by the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio Association, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare, this fair will be held under the slogan "Knock, Pharmaceutical Bio, Open My Future (Job)" to meet the recruitment needs of pharmaceutical bio companies and job seekers. Especially since it is being held face-to-face for the first time in three years, it is expected to provide richer employment information than ever before.
Held amid heightened interest in the pharmaceutical bio industry, which has emerged as a national future industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this fair will feature companies from various fields including traditional pharmaceutical companies, bio ventures, digital health, and artificial intelligence (AI). As of the 7th, before Chuseok, 73 companies have already applied to participate.
Through this fair, the industry plans to reaffirm the elevated status and capabilities of the sector by highlighting ▲success in developing COVID-19 treatments and vaccines ▲renewed technology exports and expanded new drug pipelines based on aggressive R&D ▲designation as a bio workforce training hub ▲leading new drug development using AI and digital healthcare, while also discovering talent suitable for knowledge-based industry roles.
To this end, various programs linked to recruitment will be prepared. Each company will operate a booth, and company-specific recruitment briefings and job mentoring between pharmaceutical companies and job seekers will be conducted. Practical recruitment procedures such as interviews will also take place.
Along with the face-to-face event, another feature of this fair is that it will be conducted in a hybrid online-offline format. Currently, an online recruitment hall has been opened on the online job platform JobKorea and will be operated continuously until December. Rather than ending as a one-time fair, this creates a four-month-long venue that is practically helpful for both companies and job seekers. Additionally, on the day of the event, information on various pharmaceutical bio industry-related educational institutions and the current status of the industry such as digital healthcare will be shared.
This fair also presents a good opportunity for participating companies. They can view talents registered on JobKorea, creating conditions to proactively suggest job applications to desired candidates. Furthermore, the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio Association will produce a "Career Guidebook" containing key information such as an overview of the pharmaceutical bio industry, job introductions, tips for passing, and the talent profiles of participating companies, which will be simultaneously distributed to major universities nationwide and provided in e-book form to job seekers visiting the site on the day of the fair.
