According to local media such as Ynet, the Jerusalem Traffic Police summoned and investigated the 35-year-old man who posted the video on WhatsApp and other social media platforms, then detained him.
The video posted by the man showed a dog sitting in the driver's seat of a moving car, seemingly holding the steering wheel and adjusting the direction.
However, in reality, the man was driving while holding the dog on his lap, placing both his hands and the dog's front paws on the steering wheel to create the illusion for the video.
Upon investigation, it was found that the man had not obtained a valid vehicle inspection.
The police pointed out that placing a dog in the driver's seat is an action that could endanger other road users.
