Coway Launches 'Haneul-ah Ansimhae Challenge'
On Blue Sky Day... As Part of ESG Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coway (CEO Lee Hae-seon and Seo Jang-won) announced on the 7th that it will conduct the 'Sky, Don't Worry Challenge' campaign for its employees in celebration of 'Blue Sky Day.'
Blue Sky Day is a day designated by the United Nations (UN) to raise awareness about air pollution and to strengthen international cooperation for pollution reduction and clean air. It is also the first commemorative day adopted by the UN led by South Korea.
This campaign is part of Coway's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activities. It was planned with the purpose of creating clean air through light practices in daily life.
In the campaign, Coway encouraged ▲ not idling or speeding when using cars ▲ using bicycles or public transportation ▲ walking for short distances ▲ reducing waste in daily life ▲ using eco-friendly products.
A Coway official said, "This campaign was planned with the hope that not only Coway employees but many people can empathize with and reflect on the importance of clean air," adding, "We plan to continue various eco-friendly activities with responsibility as a leading water and air company in Korea."
