View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] SK Broadband announced on the 7th that it has invested $4 million (approximately 5.5 billion KRW) in Sweet Technologies, a global collaboration tool company, and will promote cooperative business between the two companies, including serving as the exclusive distributor in the domestic market. Founded in 2017, Sweet is a collaboration tool specialist headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA.
The software named after the company, "Sweet," can be used alongside Google Workspace and MS 365, and is characterized by its integration with work management software such as ERP and CRM. Unlike existing collaboration tools that require switching screens to perform individual tasks, it allows simultaneous use of chat, task management, and goal management functions. Frequently used email, document management, video conferencing, and calendar features can be used as if they were a single app.
Sweet’s strengths increase work efficiency and reduce costs, gaining strong response in both domestic and international B2B markets. In February this year, it was selected for the second consecutive year as the "Best Software" in the project management category by G2, the world’s largest enterprise software marketplace.
With this investment, SK Broadband will take charge of Sweet’s exclusive distribution in Korea. It also plans to launch its own collaboration tool products linked with existing communication services such as text messaging and fax. Furthermore, through future integration between SK Telecom’s enterprise solutions and Sweet, it aims to provide new value to customers with needs for digital transformation and work efficiency solutions. SK Broadband plans to continuously strengthen the competitiveness of its enterprise solution products through this.
