Targeting Shopping Demand After Holidays... Card Reward Events Also Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 6th that it will launch post-Chuseok marketing efforts such as pop-up stores and social media (SNS) events to capture shopping demand after the holiday.
On the first floor of the new building at the main branch, a pop-up store for Just, a Swiss aroma oil and bath brand with 90 years of tradition, will be showcased until the 15th. All products from Just are made using only natural ingredients without any chemical components, making them free from skin side effects. Representative products include thyme cream and herbal oil.
At Times Square branch, a pop-up store for Dorco My Chef, a high-performance cookware specialty brand, will be held on the second floor of the living goods section until the 15th, offering discounts of up to 30%. Customers who purchase over 50,000 KRW will receive a ceramic filler on a first-come, first-served basis. The Hanam branch has installed a giant moon with an 8-meter diameter in the central plaza of the department store until the 25th, creating a photo zone where visitors can take memorable photos from all floors. Posting photos taken with the moon on SNS with the hashtag ‘#UjuLikeHanam’ enters participants into a draw to win hotel buffet meal vouchers, Aqua Field admission tickets, and more.
Shinsegae Department Store is also holding lucky events through its mobile application (app). The four-leaf clover touch prize event, running until the 18th, allows participation by touching the screen inside the four-leaf clover. Prizes such as accommodation vouchers for Chosun Hotel & Resort and MacBook Airs will be awarded by lottery. All participants will receive a 5,000 KRW discount coupon usable at restaurants and food courts when paying with Shinsegae affiliated cards for purchases over 10,000 KRW.
Card reward events are also prepared. From the 16th to the 18th, customers who purchase 2 million, 3 million, 5 million, or 10 million KRW or more at a single fashion brand store using Shinsegae BC affiliated cards will receive gift certificates worth 100,000, 150,000, 250,000, or 500,000 KRW respectively.
